1st December onwards

I dread this date. The anniversary of my own near-death experience in 1989, the month when my sister and best friend, my brother in law was killed in an accident on the M2 on the 15th in 1985, and when my Dad died on the 30th in 2007. I hate December, but I will not allow it to ruin others pleasure and joy at this time of the year....Ba Humbug!!!!

I had to send apologies to several events this week. I was in great pain. I went to the Osteopath on Monday and then persuaded Benenden Hospital to take me in. The treatment was radical:electrolysis with acupuncture basically.

By Friday 5th I was able to tour the ward with PCSO Boyd. We went round all the Parishes and visited people like the Chair of Boughton Malherbe PC. It was a worthwhile time as I explained my aspirations for the area and what the Police can involve themselves in.

I then went to a meeting with the Leader of the Council in Maidstone with the Community sector and many voluntary groups. I shared the platform with the MBC UKIP leader too;Eddie Powell and his member Dave Sargent. It was a harmonious  affair. The meeting was designed to look at more collaborative working between agencies and the community sector. I then went to the Switch cafe for young people, where I exchanged more ideas about dealing with Youth matters.

On Saturday 6th I took a family from Headcorn to the Panto in Maidstone. They loved it.
